“Why Christians Should Care about Israel”
Genesis 12:1 - The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.
- -I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.
- - I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.“ NLT
Why is it so critical that Christians support Israel?
- God Cares About Israel.
Zechariah 2:8 - For thus says the LORD OF HOSTS, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. (NAS)
- God’s Covenant with Abraham
A covenant is an Irrevocable bond between two parties.
2 Timothy 2:13 - If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. (NLT)
- Our SpiritualConnection to God is through the Jewish people.
Romans 11:17 - But some of the branches from Abraham’s tree — some of the people of Israel — have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.
18 - But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root. (NLT)
- The Coming Revival and Restoration of Israel
Ephesians 2:13 - But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
14 - For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. (NLT)
